"God Wills It"
This is a game I developed in Ringling College of Art and Design during the Sophomore Spring 2022 semester in Game Art major. Based on the concept art I made, I created my 3D assets in Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer, rigged my character in Mixamo.com, and programmed mechanism in Unreal Engine 4 Blueprint.

The game tells a story about an Eastern Roman imperial guard seeking for infidel gods' powers, after losing his families in Crusader's massacre. It turns out that this Paganism temple is just an isolated underground facility filled with hallucinogenic pollens, which gives him illusions and killed innocent villagers.

The story is written with inspiration of the Crusader's massacre in Constantinople in 1204 A.D. The idea is to reflect on medieval people's blind belief in religion, which eventually caused the death of so many people. Ironically, in the game, the imperial guard, whose family was slaughtered by people holding the god's blessing, still seeks strength in other gods' blessing, and caused more families of other people to be lost.
